Our Stewardship

Investing in Florida's Workforce

For 36 years, The Able Trust has partnered with the Florida Legislature, the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), private foundations, corporations, and individual donors to expand opportunities for Floridians with disabilities. As a direct support organization created by the Florida Legislature, The Able Trust
is committed to responsible financial management, transparency and measurable outcomes.

Every investment entrusted to us is managed with the same goal: preparing more Floridians with disabilities for postsecondary education, meaningful employment, and lifelong economic independence. Today, The Able Trust serves students and future job seekers across Florida while maintaining strong financial oversight, growing private investment, and ensuring state resources are used efficiently and effectively.

Putting Resources to Work

The Able Trust combines public and private support to help Florida students with disabilities prepare for education, careers and life after high school. Through High School High Tech, students gain career exposure, workplace experiences and connections to postsecondary education and other resources that can help them build a path to employment.

Stewardship in Action

Behind these numbers are students across Florida exploring careers, visiting colleges and technical schools, developing workplace skills and gaining experiences that help them plan for their futures.
