How to Give
Corporate Giving
The Able Trust believes in building and sustaining communities together. Working with our corporate partners, we can achieve uncommon things.
Corporations that support The Able Trust can help build strong and vibrant communities by ensuring that all Floridians with disabilities achieve meaningful employment. Your support not only helps to improve their quality of life, but also makes a positive difference for everyone.
There are several opportunities for corporations to give to The Able Trust:
- Corporate Endowment Fund
- Sponsorship Gifts or Grants
- In-Kind Contributions
Corporate Endowment Fund
The basic plan of an endowed fund offers a business or association, regardless of size, the opportunity to combine different types of contributions (gifts of corporate cash or marketable treasury securities, employee annual payroll deduction gifts, gifts of life insurance covering corporate [association] officials, proceeds from annual events, etc.) that will benefit people with disabilities. All contributions are deposited into a named interest bearing trust account held within The Able Trust's General Endowment.
Sponsorship Gifts or Grants
Each program of The Able Trust has unique needs and opportunities, and our Foundation works with its corporate partners to ensure their philanthropic dollars address these needs. We will develop a specialized package for your corporation to ensure you maximize your local and statewide exposure while supporting your favorite Able Trust program. Our supporters have enjoyed the benefits of working with our staff to ensure their giving needs are best directed to meet your public relations needs. And, all contributions made to The Able Trust are tax deductible according to our nonprofit status.
Some of The Able Trust's corporate sponsors include:
- AmSouth Bank
- Bank of America
- Florida Developmental Disabilities Council
- Florida Department of Education
- JFK Medical Center
- Merrill Lynch
- SunTrust Bank
- Wachovia Bank
- Walt Disney World Co.
In-Kind Contributions
We welcome in-kind contributions! Such contributions may include printing, advertising, volunteer support or other products and services that will assist us in meeting the needs of the disabled in Florida. Our public relations staff will work with you to determine the best fit for your in-kind contribution, while ensuring you receive the recognition you deserve.
