The Able Trust funded a project-based learning pilot in Brevard County to allowed students with disabilities to explore construction careers. The completion of the project resulted in a fully-constructed tiny house. The tiny house is now being offered for sale by The Able Trust. It would make a great semi-permanent structure at a hunting or fish camp, beach or other waterfront property, or even in a backyard to use for guests or as an Airbnb. The possibilities are endless.
The tiny house is 30’L x 8’W x 14’H, has a total of 240 sq. ft. of living space with an additional 120 sq. ft. sleeping loft. The house contains a kitchenette with ¾-size refrigerator and microwave, and a ¾ bathroom with toilet and standup shower. A metal roof and cedar siding protect the inside of the house from the elements. The house held up well in Tallahassee during Hurricane Michael with no damage. The house has the same hookups as a RV or camper and can easily attach to fresh water, gray water and electric. The asking price for the tiny house is $12,000. Please contact The Able Trust at (850) 224-4493, ext. 227 if you are interested in seeing or purchasing the tiny house. It is currently located in Tallahassee.
