Welcome To Florida Business Leadership Network Chair

John Wagner, Senior Director in Product Management for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF), was recently appointed Chair of the Florida Business Leadership Network (FBLN). The FBLN, an employer-to-employer networking organization supported and sponsored by The Able Trust, promotes cultural competence and employment of people with disabilities.

A specialist in consumer-directed health products and product positioning, John has worked for BCBSF since 1992 in various roles from strategy management and Medicare to product management and development. He has also served as the President of the First Coast Business Leadership Network in Jacksonville and was a key player in the development of the First Coast chapter. During his tenure, BCBSF was honored as the Large Group Employer of the year by The Able Trust. In addition, the First Coast BLN received the Exceptional Leadership award as national Affiliate of the Year from the USBLN at its national conference in Portland in September of 2008.

John has also served in various capacities with the United Way and volunteers for the ARC of Duval County. John is a graduate of the University of North Florida where he received his Master’s degree in Health Administration and a Bachelor’s in Business Management. He is also active within the university, which includes his service as an adjunct professor.
