funds to expand employment placement services into Alachua County and offer
additional support in Bradford, Clay and Union counties in Central Florida for
individuals with developmental disabilities.
Community Haven for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Inc.
Community Haven for Children and Adults with Disabilities, Inc., in the amount
of $35,000, for the program, Access to Employment. The funds will provide for
a Job Procurement Specialist who will work with businesses to further expand
employment opportunities in a three-county area for individuals with lifelong
disabilities and returning veterans with disabilities.
Creative Clay, Inc.
Creative Clay, Inc., in the amount of $54,580, for Artlink Employment. Funds will
be used to expand the ArT Link program for individuals with disabilities in a
three-county area and support their employment skills.
First Coast Business Leadership Network
First Coast Business Leadership Network, in the amount of $78,800, for a Paid
Internship Program for Students and Adults with Disabilities. Funds will provide
internship and first job support to individuals with disabilities in partnership with
the First Coast Business Leadership network in the Jacksonville area.
Gratitude House, Inc.
Gratitude House, Inc., in the amount of $45,000, for Job Coach/Vocational
Counseling Program. Funds will be used to expand the vocational skills education,
training and placement for women enrolled in the program with the continuing
support needed for success.
New Heights of Northeast Florida, Inc.
new Heights of northeast Florida, Inc., in the amount of $53,590, for Expanded
Employment Services. The funds awarded will provide expanded employment
services, including cultivating business partnerships and additional job coaching
supports to individuals with disabilities in the Jacksonville area.
North Florida School
North Florida School, in the amount of $18,000, for their retail Job Training
Program. Funds provided will expand support to the Retail Job Training Program
that provides work skills training, placement and support for young adults with
disabilities.
Peace River Center
Peace River Center, in the amount of $36,840, for the program Club Success.
Funds will provide a Transitional Employment Program, giving members with
comprehensive support to regain employment skills and gain competitive
employment and staff training to implement the program.
Florida Development Disabilities Council, Inc.
Florida Development Disabilities Council, Inc., in the amount of $20,000, to assist
in the creation of a Transportation Feasibility Study in Florida to provide quality
for all needs including employment.
