The Autism Society of America (ASA) is proud to host the 39th Annual National Conference & Exposition on Autism Spectrum Disorders. The conference will take place July 9-12, 2008 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center located in Orlando, FL. The ASA National Conference will feature more than 150 educational sessions with medical and professional experts from around the nation presenting solely on autism over the lifespan.

Boone Jr. P.A., The Able Trust hosted the Special Needs Planning Seminar in Gainesville, FL. The seminar provided information to parents who have a child or children with a disability and addressed questions such as: how to provide long-term care for children with disabilities and what financial solutions are available to parents and guardians of children with disabilities.

The Able Trust is pleased to feature two additional in-depth interviews with its newest agency grant recipients- Creative Clay and the Miami-Dade Business Leadership Network-on the Knowledge Center.
Each of these agencies received a grant from the Foundation to develop innovative projects. Vice President of Grants Program, Guenevere Crum, conducted extensive interviews with their directors to gain insight from them. The interviews highlight ways in which these directors conceptualized their projects, constructed a winning proposal and successfully executed their programs. The interviews also feature solutions that their agencies can use to resolve start-up challenges. The race will take place along A1A and the Blue Heron Causeway in Singer Island and will include a 1K fun run for families, as well as students and adults with disabilities supported by The Able Trust.
