The Florida Grantor, Summer 2007

President's Message

We are happy to begin this fourth quarter with monumental achievements. Since the establishment of the organization, The Able Trust has awarded more than $20 millions in grant funding to more than 800 non-profit organizations and individuals with disabilities across the state of Florida.

We are also pleased to host our 10th Annual Gala, Reflections of India. This year's gala is scheduled to take place on March 1, 2008 at the stunning Mar-a-Lago Club. We are proud to have a wonderful gala chair and committee to join us for this historic occasion.

In addition, this July, The Able Trust welcomed more than 50 youth with disabilities to Tallahassee for the eighth annual Florida Youth Leadership Forum. We would like to thank all of the sponsors, supporters, speakers and participants that have made this year's YLF a successful event.

As the summer comes to a close, we are pleased to welcome the 2007 National Disability Mentoring Day kick-off and festivities to the sunshine state. The Able Trust is honored to partner with the 2007 DMD Honorary Chair, Governor Charlie Crist, and a collaboration of statewide disability organizations to host this year's activities
