The Florida Grantor, Spring 2007

President's Message

As we welcome the Spring season, I am pleased to announce new achievements for The Able Trust and its programs. This third quarter, the Foundation awarded $374,832 in grant funding to nine non-profit organizations across Florida, bringing our total grant amount awarded for the 2007 fiscal year to nearly $900,000.

The Able Trust also released its 2006 Annual Report. This report offers information on The Able Trust program achievements, grant-making and endowment activities. To view a copy of the 2006 Annual Report, visit www.abletrust.org.

We are also excited to have continued the expansion of the High School/High Tech program to Bay Point Schools, Inc. in Miami. We are pleased to support such a wonderful program as we continue to offer youth with disabilities greater opportunities to prepare for the workforce.

This March, we are thrilled to have had such a successful gala, which brought together nearly 300 supporters of individuals with disabilities and raised over $525,000 to benefit The Able Trust. We would like to thank the many supporters, sponsors and participants that have contributed to the success of this wonderful event.
