Developmental Disabilities Council Campaigns for Inclusion in the Workplace

The recent campaign, “Inclusion Works,” launched by the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC) is comprised of 42 businesses and organizations, including The Able Trust, to educate the public about the inclusion of people, with and without disabilities, in everyday activities.

Inclusion is meant to spur the living, learning, working, playing and participation of all types of people, with or without disabilities. A speakers bureau was also created with more than 50 self-advocates, family members and professionals who are dedicated to the inclusion movement. These speakers from around the state will be available to give presentations on the movement in the near future. For more information on the “Inclusion Works” campaign, contact the FDDC at www.fddc.org.
