Summer marked another end to The Able Trust’s fiscal year, where over $1.7 million in grants were awarded to more than fifty nonprofits throughout the state. With our fourth quarter grant awards, the Foundation reached a milestone of serving all 67 Florida counties through its agency grants program.
The Foundation plans to keep this momentum going through the fall, where we will review and award funding to another set of projects that lead to employment for Floridians with disabilities.
With The Able Trust completing another successful Youth Leadership Forum, expanding our High School/High Tech program and serving as a statewide coordinator for Disability Mentoring Day, we continue to help shape the futures of young people with disabilities by increasing oppor-tunities and resources available to them.
Our annual Gala at the historical Mar-a-Lago club on November 6 will be spectacular. We are pleased to be working with National Baseball League Hall of Famer Mr. Jim Palmer as our Honorary Chairman, and are also thankful to the host of other celebrity committee members including Michael Aram, Clarence Clemons and Donald Trump.
In the meantime, please visit our website regularly so you can stay informed about The Able Trust’s many activities this spring. If you have any questions or feedback, we encourage you to contact our office.
