Message from the Chair

Grant making is one of the fundamental priorities of The Able Trust. With these recent grant awards, the Foundation topped the $14 million mark in total grants funded. Our goal now is to reach every county across Florida, and as you can see from a previous article in this newsletter, we are targeting four rural counties to help us achieve this goal.

The Knowledge Center on The Able Trust’s website is an excellent tool for agencies interested in submitting a grant proposal. Not only does it provide ideas and information about how to craft your proposal and develop a successful employment program, it also enables agencies to download a sample proposal to use as a guide. We are updating this section of our website regularly, so we encourage you to take advantage of the resources the Foundation offers to help you with the grant writing process.

Of course the grant program’s success corresponds with the Foundation’s fundraising efforts that help us grow our endowment. This year we will host the seventh annual gala at Mar-a-Lago on November 6, which is our primary tool for raising valuable long-term funding for The Able Trust. We hope you will consider attending this magnificent event, which is an excellent opportunity to show your support for our mission.
