The Able Trust is pleased to announce that Barry Ward has recently joined the staff as Vice President of Endowment Development. Barry will be responsible for working with corporations, individuals and affiliate agencies to establish and maintain endowment accounts. In addition to marketing the endowment program, Barry will oversee all planned giving activities, as well as the Foundation's charitable gift services for professional advisors.
Barry is a fourth generation Floridian with more than fourteen years of banking development experience. A graduate of Florida State University, Barry recently worked as Vice President of Business Banking with AmSouth Bank. He has also worked as assistant vice president for several Tallahassee and Gainesville area banks, where he managed the business banking, consumer banking and lending departments.
Barry is an active community volunteer who currently serves as treasurer for the Northeast Business Association and the downtown Child Development Center in Tallahassee. Prior to living in Tallahassee, he served as a board member for the Citrus, Levy and Marion County Workforce Development Board, as well as the Chiefland Chamber of Commerce. Barry and his wife Christine reside in Tallahassee and are the proud parents of two small children, ages 2 and 3.
