Delegates Selected for 2003 Youth Leadership Forum

Entering its fourth year, The Able Trust's Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) has become a vehicle for high school juniors and seniors with disabilities in Florida to explore their leadership potential in school, business and society. Cosponsored by the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, YLF's growing popularity is evidenced by this year's outstanding pool of applicants.

After a rigorous selection process The Able Trust is pleased to announce the 57 delegates that will represent their communities from July 24-27, at this year's YLF. These delegates will travel to the state capital where they will take part in four days of leadership building, networking, self-advocacy, and interactive learning about issues affecting youth with disabilities such as academic opportunities, independent living, special resources and more. The delegates will also have the opportunity to meet with professionals with disabilities, state officials, and other youth with disabilities from around the state.
