The Able Trust's recently redesigned its website to provide visitors with a more concise and user-friendly approach to gathering information about the Foundation. New to the website is the "Knowledge Center", a source of practical ideas and wisdom from grant recipients on developing a competitive-employment placement project for people with disabilities and submitting an effective grant proposal to qualify for funding from The Able Trust. The Knowledge Center offers best practices straight from Florida organizations, resource links and other helpful tips on subjects organizations face every day.
Links on the Knowledge Center include insights from agencies on how to write more effective grant proposals; lessons about how to develop a disability employment program for best results; how to adapt to challenges during the grant year; best practice examples from successful grant projects; and resources for writing proposals, searching for funding and much more.
The Knowledge Center was designed to help Florida disability agencies share lessons learned and best practices about ideas and projects that lead to and sustain the employment of Floridians with disabilities. It focuses on the perspective of grantees - providing an experience-sharing forum for people who put grants into action.
Please visit the newly designed website, including the Knowledge Center link,
at www.abletrust.org and give us your
feedback. Future activities for the Knowledge Center will include online chats
with The Able Trust grant makers and invited speakers on grant-related issues.
