The Able Trust Welcomes New Ambassadors

The Able Trust Board of Directors established an Ambassador program to enhance its efforts to promote disability awareness throughout Florida. These five new Ambassadors will serve as an extension to the Trust's board by participating in public awareness programs such as grant check presentations and assisting with fundraising activities. The Able Trust would like to welcome these volunteers and looks forward to working with each of them.

Bob Billingslea - Orlando is Corporate Director of Urban Affairs for The Walt Disney Company, where he is responsible for diversity-related objectives companywide. He is a longtime member of the President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Employer Subcommittee and has served as a host committee member for The Able Trust Gala at Mar-a-Lago since 1999.

Bob Bromberg - Miami heads Bromberg & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in human resource solutions to management. Bromberg has an extensive background in human resources in the banking industry, where he previously served as Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources of Republic National Bank of Miami, as well as Vice President of Human Resources for Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Carolyn Olive - Tallahassee is a partner with the law firm of Goldberg and Olive. An attorney as well as Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Olive is a member of the Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Florida Association of Women Layers. Sandy Robinson - Miami has been employed at the First National Bank of South Miami since 1994 in the area of new business development, including Private Banking and Trust Services. She is fully bilingual and active in the South Florida community, serving with the Fellowship Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association and Diabetes Research Institute.

Anthony Battaglia - Miami is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the former President and CEO of Thompson Aerospace, a Miami-based aviation firm. Currently he is a consultant specializing in helping international companies to expand into the U.S. market. Gala will Feature "Night in Venice"

The Able Trust is excited to announce plans for the upcoming NIGHT IN VENICE, A FANTASY GALA EVENING to benefit Florida citizens with disabilities. The gala will take place Saturday, October 27, 2001, at the historic Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. The event raises funds for The Able Trust Endowment Program, which allows the foundation and its affiliate agencies to provide vital services and support to Floridians with disabilities.

The Mar-a-Lago's grand landscapes and exquisite castle will be transformed to resemble and enchanting Venice piazza. "A Night in Venice" will evoke the excitement of the city's famous Carnival. Donned in traditional masks, guests will revel among costumed tumblers, performers and jugglers and will treasure the serenades of gondoliers before dining in a decorative setting fit for a feast at the Palace Courts. This masquerade on the canal will be the most entertaining gala yet.

"It's truly an honor to be involved with The Able Trust, a foundation that helps level the playing field for people with disabilities. People who want- and deserve- to work," said Mr. Bob Kuechenberg, former Miami Dolphin who is co-chairing the Gala for a fourth time with his wife, Jill.

Additional gala host committee members include Mr. Donald Trump, Honorary, Mr. Robert L. Billingslea, Ms. Madelyn Passarella, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Elizabeth Smith.

Sponsors for the event include JFK Medical Center, Walt Disney World Co., AmSouth Bank, Guerlain Paris, VIVE Magazine, Paterno Imports, Kidd&Driscoll Advertising, and Cartier.
