Florida will commemorate Disability Mentoring Day on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Statewide activities will coincide with National DMD events across the country, which are being supported by the American Association of People with Disabilities.
Florida’s DMD program is organized through a collaborative partnership of The Able Trust, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and other statewide partners. The statewide planning committee raises funds for Florida DMD activities and provides support to local community liaisons that coordinate the matchmaking experience between mentors and mentees.
