Eckerd Youth Alternatives (EYA) is a private, not-for-profit organization nationally recognized for its programs to help youth. Programs serve boys and girls ages 8-18 who are at risk for or exhibit emotional and behavioral problems at home, at school and in the community. Eckerd Youth Alternatives offers 18 outdoor therapeutic treatment programs that combine therapeutic treatment in a nurturing outdoor environment with an accredited, year-round educational component. Young people live, grow and learn in small groups with trained counselors in rural residential settings.

Lakeland One Stop Center has a staff person available to assist people with disabilities with accessing the services of the One Stop Career Centers in their region. These services might include providing interpreters, readers, etc. to access the list of jobs on the computers or to be able to participate in resume writing classes, interview classes, etc. They can also provide referral information on other services available to help disabled adults in your community. Sometimes they set up Job Fairs for employers who are welcoming of disabled employees. They put on monthly orientations to train disabled people in what services are available from the One Stop Centers to help them.
