ADA Information Services

This list contains the telephone numbers and Internet and electronic bulletin board addresses of federal agencies and other organizations that provide information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and informal guidance in understanding and complying with different provisions of the ADA.

Department of Justice

Department of Justice offers technical assistance on the ADA Standards for Accessible Design and other ADA provisions applying to businesses, non-profit service agencies, and state and local government programs; also provides information on how to file ADA complaints.

Governor's Commission on Disabilities

The Governor’s Commission on Disabilities was created by Governor Charlie Crist to advance public policy and work with state agencies and organizations on behalf of Floridians with disabilities. The commission also houses the Clearinghouse on Disability Information, which makes information on disability resources and services more accessible to Floridians with disabilities and provides information on employment, including jobs with state agencies.
