Van Gogh's Palette, Inc. / Vincent House is a restorative community in Pinellas County for people who have had their lives drastically disrupted by a mental illness. Vincent House is Florida's first and only Clubhouse certified by the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD). ICCD Clubhouses provide their members the opportunity to build stamina, self-esteem and self-confidence through voluntary participation in the work-ordered day. Work provides the core healing process. Members and a limited staff work side by side to provide all the services of the Clubhouse from food preparation to data entry to banking and more.
Vincent House follows the 36 International Standards which provide for assistance in vocational, housing, education and social rehabilitation. A Clubhouse is built upon the belief that every member can sufficiently recover from the effects of a mental illness to lead a personally satisfying life.
Vincent House has been sharing her success by offering "Orientation to the ICCD Clubhouse Model" to individuals and providers in Florida interested in starting an ICCD Clubhouse in their county.
