The Arc Nature Coast was established in 1972 by a small group of concerned citizens concerned with the lack of services and activities for adults with developmental disabilities. The mission of the organization is to provide individually tailored quality supports for persons with disabilities and their families in order to promote prosperous fulfilling lives in the community. We value the right of individuals with disabilities to determine their own futures and exercise the greatest amount of control over their lives as possible. The Arc Nature Coast strives to be a highly flexible comprehensive service provider to assist individuals with disabilities, and their families, to realize their dreams. The Arc Nature Coast is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States and The Arc of Florida. Additionally, The Arc Nature Coast is a CARF accredited organization, and has been privileged to serve citizens with disabilities and their families for the past 30 years in Hernando County and surrounding areas.
