What's in it for My Business?

Forward-thinking employers are exploring creative, new approaches for staff recruitment and retention, including how to better access non-traditional labor sources such as people with disabilities. By participating in High School/High Tech (HS/HT), businesses can effectively tap into this vast pool of prospective new employees. HS/HT also gives employers a chance to extend their comfort level, experience and resources to support new employees and customers with disabilities.

Many of today's business professionals are seeking to reach out to students in the early stages of their education to expose them to the skills and information necessary to survive in our technology-driven global economy. There is such a need for this kind of attention and care for high school students, especially those with disabilities.

If you think back, there was probably a time when you too longed for guidance and direction for your future. Business professionals can guide these students to success and help jumpstart their futures. Contribute your experience, expertise and time, whether it is a lot or a little, to a HS/HT student. They will appreciate it more than you ever know.
