The Able Trust, the sponsoring organization of the Florida BLN, recognizes exceptional individuals and organizations from across the state during its annual Ability Awards program. Award recipients are honored for their contribution to the employment of Florida citizens with disabilities by going beyond satisfying ADA laws. Each year, awards are given in the following categories:

• Beverly Chapman Award for Outstanding Employment Placement Program,
• Employer of the Year
• The Able Trust Award for Outstanding Entrepreneur
• Youth Leader Award
• Media Representative Award
• BLN Local Chapter of the Year
• Dr. George L. Spelios Leadership Award

The USBLN recognizes best practices for the employment of people with disabilities through its Annual Exceptional Leadership Award Program. Each year the winners are announced and recognized at the USBLN Annual Conference with highlights posted on the website. The USBLN seeks self nominations from Lead Employers, Chapters and Service Providers who have proven leadership which supports the mission of the USBLN and its chapters.

The USBLN Exceptional Leadership Award categories are:

• BLN Chapter of the Year
• BLN Lead Employer of the Year (large, medium, small employer)
• BLN Exceptional Partner of the Year
