Chris, a graphic design artist, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting. He began to use computers to create art after college when he landed his first job in an agency that required him to use his skills with color in digital designs. He has since moved on to own his own graphic design company, and he has been successfully self-employed as a graphic artist for almost three years.
"It has been rewarding to realize that I can actually help someone with the knowledge and skills I have gained over the years. It has made me approach my profession with a more youthful vitality. It is really fun to listen to Matthew's eagerness to succeed and I am sure he will be successful in his career."
Chris was recruited to the e-Mentoring Program by a friend at the Volunteer Florida Foundation and this is his first mentoring experience. It has been said that "art is a second language," and it has proven true for this particularly colorful e-Mentoring match. Chris enjoys sharing samples of his work with Matthew, in order to challenge and inspire him. Chris also offers advice on things Matthew can do now to prepare for success in his field.

"This e-Mentor has been the perfect match for me! My e-Mentor has explained ways of doing things that I have never thought of before. Having a mentor is very beneficial, I am very glad I joined and will continue in this."
