Get an E-Mentor

The Able Trust e-Mentoring program is piloting student participation through the Florida High School/High Tech (HS/HT) programand alumni of the Florida Youth Leadership Forum (YLF). It is designed to connect Florida HS/HT and YLF alumni with disabilities with caring, supportive business professionals who provide them with information about careers and the workplace. Through regular e-mail exchanges over a secure server that is monitored regularly, students and mentors will work together to gain an introduction into the world of work. If you are a Florida HS/HT student or a YLF alumni, simply complete the Mentee Application online and The Able Trust will match you with a mentor so you can take part in this unique career development opportunity. Student Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the Florida HS/HT program
• Only talk to your mentor by e-mail
• E-mail your mentor at least one time each week
• Share some thoughts and experiences with your mentor
• Show your writing skills and personality in your e-mails
• Challenge yourself and be open to help from your mentor
• Be open to everyone's cultures and needs
